We’re looking for the next person to build CanLII’s team. If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you:
- You are knowledgeable about the legal information and legal tech environment in Canada
- You can achieve your goals through influence
- You write well and can convince others with your writing
- You understand the online environment and can make it work for you
- You are comfortable in a remote work arrangement
The successful applicant will work closely with CanLII’s director of programs and partnerships to develop new projects and manage established ones.
We are open to applicants from different backgrounds, but we see strength in the skills developed in academic training and professional experience in law, library and information studies, publishing, and computer sciences. If your background is different, convince us why you would be perfect for this role.
We hope you can carry out your responsibilities equally well in French or English, but we will not disqualify applications on this basis. Fully bilingual candidates will have an advantage in this process.
We are happy to see applications from people across Canada. After all, why would we turn away the best candidate in the country?
This is a permanent, full-time position and we would like to have the successful candidate in place in January 2019.
Compensation commensurate with experience and potential.
How to apply:
You are welcome to send us a CV and cover letter, but we would prefer that you show us that you are the person we are looking for. You should decide how best to do that.
Curious? Please ask questions! We prefer to get them on Twitter @canlii, but if you want to ask in confidence email is fine.
Applications will be accepted until December 15, 2018.
Please send applications to Sarah Sutherland firstname.lastname@example.org.
